Visit with Papa and Nana Castro

While I was working and visiting my VERY strong Mom, Jason took the girls up to see his parents for a couple of nights (Yes, he also had to bring Ace). The first night Bailey and Jason went on a date to the AquaSox.....Bailey got to go in the press box and visit with everyone and even sit on the official scorers lap, Papa Pat. They had great seats right behind home plate, they both had a great time.
The next day they headed to Port Townsend, Jason's favorite place, at least his favorite place in Washington. Nana went with them and they spent the entire day there. This was Maddie's first trip on the ferry.

While there they even did some swimming, yes it was cold, it is still Washington.
Looks like Maddie wanted to stick her tongue out at the camera on this trip.

The finished the beach part of the day with rolling down the hill.

They had a blast and my trip down south was also successful. We are truly blessed with AMAZING family.

Birthday Weekend

Started off my birthday weekend by running my first 5K.....for those of you that know me that is a big feat (I HATE running). It was the first race for both Jason and I. Jason came in 24th or something amazing like that. I ran the whole way and that was enough for me. We are training for our first 10K in October, so wish us luck. Here is Maddie getting ready for the kids dash.
Here is the kids dash. Bailey is pretty close to the front and Maddie is somewhere back there. She kind of got pushed aside.

Today I got spoiled all day long with my favorites, Starbucks, no cooking, and a little shopping. We finished the night by going down to Beaches and the Sandersons came to meet us. The kids enjoyed the river walk after dinner.

Quick pic of Jodi before baby (Lucas or Ian) comes out.

Last but not least Jason and I-this guy spoiled me-I am going for 3 nights down to LA for a weekend with my Becky-Roo. It is happening is October, so my birthday festivities still haven't ended.

Thanks everyone for making me feel special on my birthday. Love you all.

It's A...........

BOY!!! We got Ace from our babysitter. We are now officially dog owners! I am still in a little shock and right now I am unsure exactly what we got ourselves into. However, he is doing great and the girls love him.

Home Sweet Home

We have only been home fore two nights, but we have been VERY busy. It is nice here so we got out the slip and slide. The girls are having a blast. The neighbors came over yesterday and had some fun with us.

The girls are also doing a little ballet camp/class this week. It is the first time Maddie can do it with Bailey and she is LOVING it.

Quick sister pic before class.

Here are all the girls in class. Addy is in class with us, which makes it all the more special for the girls. Bailey isn't enjoying it as much, I think it is because Maddie is in her class and she feels too old. We will see how the rest of the week goes.
We decided to let Bailey try riding her bike without training wheels. She did it the first time and in about 20 minutes she was starting by herself and riding all over the place. It was so cute seeing how excited she was. We were sooooooo proud of her. I couldn't stop smiling. I smile every time I watch this video.

Just a little family fun on the slip n slide

The Final Days in Kauai

We finished up our amazing trip to Kauai. We had to stop at these famous waterfalls. I can't even think of their name right now, but they are beautiful. Then we decided that we had to see the Na Pali Coast. The part of the island that you can only see by boat or helicopter. The helicopter was out of our budget, so we we knew were going on a boat. Then we decided to take a raft/navy raft/zodiac......you get the idea instead of a catamaran. The receptionist that helped us book it said, "You guys are fun and adventurous, you should do the raft." It was a gorgeous ride and we did get to go into see caves and literally see hundreds of dolphins up close. However, we are still sore now. You have to hold onto ropes for dear life or you will fall out of the boat. We decided that instead of "fun and adventurous" we are "old".

Here are just a few of the hundreds of dolphins we saw.
The beautiful cliffs.

Another quick stop to see the sea turtle.....Jason's favorite animal.

Our final night at the resort..... :(
