Disneyland

After New Years with the Weavers we headed to Disneyland for 2 days. Our phones didn't really work and the battery died instantly. Since I am doing this blog from my phone, there will only be a few pics. We have 100s more. If you want to see the rest, you will have to see the scrapbook, we just finished it.
It was an amazing trip and a perfect age for the girls. They LOVED everything, all the rides, shows, and characters.
Here we are ready to go to Disneyland.

Brer Bear

Tigger

Eyore

Nothing but smiles and sun.

The scariest ride for the girls on both days was this rocking Ferris wheel. Now we know next time to get the stationary one.

One of the rides in the new Cars Land.

Donald Duck

They have a REAL Starbucks in California Adventure.

The girls with Mater.

We can't wait until we can go again.

Visit with the Weavers

We spent 3 nights at the Weaver house. When we arrived, the girls has their own princess room. They LOVED the decorations and all of the princess goodies.

I think Jason's favorite part was the sun. When we were there it wasn't hot, but sun and no rain instantly provide smiles for this family.

Oh, and they have a pool. It was way too cold for the adults, but the girls. LOVED the pool as well.

For New Years dinner we made pizza. Yummy!

We celebrated "New York New Years" with lots of horn blowing and streamers.

Nothing but smiles with these parents to be.

Then we were all out by 10:00. Apples to apples can wear a group out.

To finish off the visit with the Weavers we played a little putt putt golf.

This will be our last family visit to the Weavers in Upland (Sean is applying for his residency now). We can't wait to see where you will end up next and you can count on a visit from the Castro fam. Thanks for everything.

Myrtle Point

After Yakima we then headed down south. First we stayed at Jodi's, so we could watch Matt play basketball in Salem. He wasn't feeling well (this was a theme, my parents house got the stomach bug as well) and he still made the all tournament team! We also got to watch Morgan play (a freshman on varsity) not that I am a proud aunt or anything. Then we cheered on the Royal Scots as Dean coached his team to a win.

Julie and Marc cuddling with Bailey.

One of the gifts from my parents was Apples to Apples Disney. If you have little kids, this is a great version, because it includes pictures on the cards.

Cute little Lucas, is soooo easy going and adorable.

After a few days we started our trip to the Weaver house. We took one day to drive from Myrtle to Upland. We had a few stops at my favorite place and look what Bailey drew in the car.

Christmas in Yakima

We spent Christmas in Yakima with the Newlyweds. The girls definitely LOVED the snow and playing with Zoey.

We took the girls ice skating. They really loved it. Bailey now wants to be a professional ice skater. Maddie only lasted until she fell down 4 times and was wet. We had to make Bailey leave the ice after all of us were FREEZING.

On Christmas Eve we headed to the park to enjoy the snow.

We didn't forget to leave cookies for Santa.

Aunt Julie made the girls these really really cool pillows. They loved them.

Papa Pat sang his own version of the "12 Days of Christmas" to RaeLyn. It was very sweet and fun to watch.

Another very fun Christmas with the Castro's. We hope next time Julie and Tyler will feel better when we invade their house.

Polar Express

We have done so much in the last two weeks, I don't want to forget anything. To start Christmas vacation we took the girls on Polar Express.

Jason's parents came with us and it was so much fun. We went at 4:30, so it was light when we started.

Here is Maddie with her golden ticket. They come around and punch it for each child.

We were all wearing our pajamas. They read the story and provide hot cocoa and a cookie on the way to the North Pole. Then Santa gets on the train and visits with each child on the way back.

If you can't tell from the picture, Santa crushed Bailey's dreams of receiving a dog for Christmas. She was actually crying before we got off the train. However, both girls got a bell and overall fun was had by all.
I am so happy that we got to do this while they both truly believe.
