Thanksgiving

We had an wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. We got to relax and hang out with the family. Here are my two amazing drivers on the way down.Bailey got her birthday and Christmas presents from the Newtons....Here she is with "pretty" (yes she named her pretty) her stuffed animal/sleeping bag. She loves "pretty" and wants to take her everywhere. She has slept in the sleeping bag for 3 nights in a row now.
Here is Papa making flat eggs (Bailey's favorite) for breakfast. I think Bailey ate at least a dozen eggs over the weekend. Thanks Papa.
Nana...the amazing chef of Thanksgiving dinner.....Yummy!
Here is Bailey at her Thanksgiving feast at school. If she wasn't cute enough already, the thing she was thankful for was her Mom......Man I love that kid!

It's Snowing!

It is snowing around here. We ended up having two days off school. This is a picture from when it was just starting to snow. The girls have enjoyed playing in the snow for VERY short periods of time. Their hands get to cold.....it isn't that they don't have gloves, they just don't want to wear them. My little snow angel
On Tuesday....the girls had their dentist appointments. As we all know, Bailey LOVES the dentist. She counts down the days until she get there. This is the second time Maddie has been, but the first time that they polished her teeth. She was a champ as well. The only time she got scared was when they moved the chair back.
Since we were home and inside a few days, we baked some YUMMY gingerbread cookies.
Last but not least, we put up Christmas decorations today as we are heading south tomorrow for Thanksgiving. I wanted to share my favorite Christmas decoration. Pat and RaeLyn have been giving me pieces yearly for a while now. I now own all of the pieces and I adore it.

Don Freeman Award

Yesterday we spent a very exciting day at Safeco Field. Jason received an award at Safeco field at the Hall of Fame Luncheon. It was an amazing experience and quite the honor for Jason. They had a little social, served us lunch, had numerous speakers including the GM for the Mariners, all of the award recipients, and then a tour of Safeco. Exciting day all around.
This is what was shown on the TVs all around the luncheon.
Jason with Jack Zduriencik the GM of the Mariners.
The 2010 award recipients
Jason with Butch Alexander-His Booster Club President-Also an award recipient.

His Coaching staff came up to support him. They liked the tour the best. Here are the boys in the dugout.
Very nice day for Jason-His parents and sister were also in attendance. His high school coach, Kim Hammons, was also there-he is a hall of fame coach. Maybe someday Jason will get there. I didn't get a picture of Jason accepting the award, it was kind of dark. Hopefully I will get one from someone else.

Volleyball is over

This weekend was regionals for volleyball. I can't believe how well the girls played. They are also the nicest group of girls in the world. That is the only reason why I did it for one more year. I am sad and happy to say that Saturday was my last day of coaching at KHS. I am truly happy with how well they played as well. These girls will be missed.
However, I love these people way more. My favorite day this week was Tuesday, when I didn't have practice, we went to the river and had a blast on such a nice day.

A little bit of follow the leader

I am excited for many more days like this....that is until baseball starts.

Trick-Or-Treat

This year I let the girls pick their outfits. Bailey wanted to be a witch.....I don't know why. However, we found this barbie one, so according to Bailey she is a Barbie Witch. I picked out a few outfits for Maddie....she came up with this one. I am not sure exactly what it is, but we call it a Cheetah Ballerina.

Some action photos
After we finished, we handed out candy....
Then hid in the back room when we ran out of candy.
