Zoo Trip

The following weekend Jason was traveling again for baseball. This time we went and stayed with Jodi and her kids while Dean was also away.
We love a good bedtime story.

Here is Luke with the shirt I gave home for Christmas. However, it goes without saying that he loves his aunt.

Then on Sunday we went to the zoo. It was a little chilly, but fun was had by all.

Here is the new baby elephant, Lily.

After a few hours everyone was tired and hungry. The highlight for me personally was seeing a tiny baby river otter take its first swim in the water with its mama. The girls say they liked the pink flamingos the best.

Jason's Birthday

Jason had his birthday last week. He was leaving for a baseball game on his actual birthday, so we took him out to dinner the day before.

We came home to his favorite, once a year only, ice cream cake.

Hope he made a really good wish.

On his real birthday we sent him off with a special breakfast and more singing.

For his birthday weekend we all headed to Yakima. LCC was playing there, so Pat and RaeLyn came to stay at Julie and Tyler's as well. Julie took the girls and I to a kids fair.

The girls got their face painted, saw lots of characters, made crafts, went in hopping houses, and don't forget the candy and cupcakes. They definitely had fun.

Sunday morning was St. Patrick's day, the girls woke up to a leprechaun trick and had to follow the string to a hidden treasure. They also got to eat special green waffles made by Aunt Julie.

School Fun

Bailey had spirit week at her school, a few weeks ago. She dressed up everyday, I only remembered to take a couple of pics. Here she is as Pinkalicous for dress up as your favorite character from a book day.

Then she chose this shirt for "read my shirt" day.

Maddie learned about space and made this helmet, and also a really cool jet pack.

Then Bailey had a few friends over from school and we made our own pizzas.

Last but not least, we went to the library and Maddie got her own library card. She wrote her first and last name in the little box. Then she picked a Fancy Nancy bookmark.

I am so proud of both of my girls and their hard work at school.
