Castro Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas with The Castro Family. The highlight for Bailey was this Pogo Stick from Santa. She is loving it. We went to this amazing Christmas light town. The girls loved it
They got to ride horses and talk to a talking Christmas tree.
Here are the girls with Nana Lyn and Papa Pat.
Yesterday we went to the Everett Children's Museum. Everyone had a blast.

Merry Christmas!

Here is my first attempt at using my new Flip camera from my parents. I LOVE it. I am sure more videos will follow.

Randomness

The Spinks bought the girls finger paints for Christmas. One afternoon we had a blast.....the paint was EVERYWHERE......on the walls, floors, you get the idea. Very fun times though. Friday at school was the Polar Express day for Bailey's preschool class. She was so excited about wearing pajamas to school because her aunt Julie had just bought her a book about pajama day at school.....Here is where my naughtiness comes in. I peaked in Bailey's present from Nana Pam and saw that it was PJ's and slippers. Therefore, she got Christmas early from Nana Pam, I figured there was only one pajama day at school a year.
Friday night we babysat the Feltons while they were at a rehearsal dinner. Here is beautiful Clara.
The girls loved playing with Owen. All 4 of these kids went to sleep without even a peep. I could watch these angel kids any day.
Today was Bailey's ballet show at the retirement home in town. Little did we know that it would be so full that we wouldn't even be able to see her dance. The place was so packed that Jason and Maddie were in another room completely. That was a downer. However, she was a pretty stinkin cute reindeer.

Baking For Friends

December is a month for baking. A very good friend of mine from high school came up last week and we baked some cookies with the girls.
Notice the sprinkles on the cookies here. Maddie and Ari pretty much just kept putting sprinkles and frosting on the same cookie and eating it all afternoon long.
On Sunday after Jacob's party we had a baking day as a family. We decided to make lots of cookies and baked good to deliver to friends.
Only picture of me, so I threw it in.
And the mastermind himself, the chef extraordinaire.
On Monday we delivered the cookies. The girls loved this so much. Bailey wanted it to be her job someday. We got to spend some quality time with those we truly care about and that is what this time of year is really about. I hope that this will be a new yearly tradition.

Jacob is 3!

This Saturday was Jacob's birthday party. It was at the Gilbert House is Salem. The tickets were for all day, so we went to the museum early and the girls had a blast. As Bailey said when leaving the party, this is the best day ever.
Here is Maddie doing some shopping....we were in this room for quite some time.Jason's favorite room. Here is Bailey doing a little production in the dress up room.
A quick cousin picture before the party. Here is the adorable birthday boy opening his presents and calling everyone goo-goo. Love that smile. Happy Birthday sweet boy.

Tree Hunt

To finish off our busy weekend we ran up to the tree farm to pick out our Christmas tree. It was a beautiful day (not raining), so we went on a tree hunt. The tree farm in Longview is where we go see Santa and his reindeer......very fun place. We wanted to find one THIS big.
This was the winner....not the best picture, but very cute of Maddie trying to do a thumbs up. We have since taught her how to do a thumbs up.
On the drive to the farm Bailey was talking about how she had never seen Mrs. Clause. She was going to ask Santa why she was never here and when she could meet her. Little did she know it was her luck day and she was in Longview.
Love this tradition.

Church Christmas Program

This weekend was a busy one.....on Sunday we had the program at church. It is put on completely by the kids in elementary school and younger. Maddie and Bailey were going to sing one song. Little did we know that it was an hour into the service. Here is Maddie waiting for her turn. I was also restless and I am not 2.
Here is the start of the song. Notice that Maddie is not right next to Bailey.
Middle of the song Maddie makes her move to be by Bailey.
I tried to get a picture of all the kids...while this happened Maddie was busy playing with the cords.
The entire time, Bailey kept doing the routine and singing the song. She will be part of the hour long part next year. It should be fun!

Par-Tay!

Bailey had a very fun party......here she is with Bodie climbing the rock wall.
Onto a scooter train with a few friends.
Had to throw in this great picture of Nana Lyn and Maddie
Blowing out her 5 candles....one had to be a Hannah Montana Star.
Don't forget the very cool face painting...Ava and Bailey picked unicorns.
We ended the party with the parachute. The kids absolutely LOVED this. Their eyes lit up and everyone was smiling the entire time.
Meanwhile....my back went out when the party started and I looked like a 90 year old walking around. Other than that the party was a success.

Bailey is 5!

Even though I am in total denial that Bailey is 5...seriously, she can't be 5 already she was just a baby. Bailey had a very fun Birthday.
She woke up to Dad carrying the birthday girl to her breakfast surprise.
...... A Stuffy's cinnamon roll!
During the day she brought her cupcakes to preschool, and then she picked Applebee's for dinner. Here she is with her yummy dessert.
Then she opened her presents from us.
She loved her present from Maddie!

Off to planning her friend party today. Should be fun! I am sure more pictures to follow.
