Father Daughter Ball

We decided to have the girls do the Father Daughter Ball for the first time this year. They really enjoyed it. Maddie spent most of the time soaking it all in at the dance.

Bailey spent the night dancing away.

Pretty darn cute group of people if you ask me.

I can't believe how grown up they are.

After the dance Jason took them to dinner and dessert.

They can't wait to do it again next year.

George Washignton Report

Bailey was assigned a president to do a report on, and she chose George Washington.  She did most of the work with her dad, he is the history expert after all.  I love that after I had her read it for me she said, "I want to add more".  We might do a few more reports on our own.  I think she did a GREAT job.  I am so proud of her. Hope you enjoy.

Build A Bear

Nana Pam and Papa Tim gave the girls a gift certificate to Build A Bear for Valentine's Day. They had never been and were super excited. First you get to pick your animal. They both ended up picking the same one. Maddie picked the dog and then Bailey was set on getting one with hearts. Then you get to help the lady fill it with stuffing

Then you put a little heart inside. Here is Maddie touching her funny bone, so the dog would be funny.

Then they give her a bath and brush her hair.

Then they picked out a dress and shoes and dressed them in the dressing room.

Here is the final product. They then get to name them Bailey chose "Love Puppy" and Maddie chose "Hearts".

Then you get a snazzy little home to carry them in. Thanks so much Nana Pam.

Valentine's Day

We had a great Valentines day. The girls started off with some yummy pancakes.

They ended with the heart pizza.

Then they got to open all of their packages and cards. We felt like it was Christmas all over again. Thank you everyone. They loved EVERYTHING.

I gave Jason this doormat, thought it went perfect at our house.

Baby Weaver

In January I got to celebrate baby Weaver twice. It was a great month for Bec and me. We got to see each other 3 different times. The first shower was a double shower for Bec and Bethany. They are both have girls and they are due one week apart. Here they are with their mom.

This is their aunt, cousin, grandma, and mom. Such and amazing group of women.

Then two weeks later I got to go to sunny California again for a girls weekend.

We stayed in Laguna Beach.

I got to meet an amazing group of ladies, spend a weekend in the sun at the beach, and celebrate one of the most wonderful women in my life. The highlight of the weekend was that I got to see the baby! I got to go to an ultrasound and hear her little heartbeat, nowI just can't wait to meet her. Love you Bec.

Disneyland

After New Years with the Weavers we headed to Disneyland for 2 days. Our phones didn't really work and the battery died instantly. Since I am doing this blog from my phone, there will only be a few pics. We have 100s more. If you want to see the rest, you will have to see the scrapbook, we just finished it.
It was an amazing trip and a perfect age for the girls. They LOVED everything, all the rides, shows, and characters.
Here we are ready to go to Disneyland.

Brer Bear

Tigger

Eyore

Nothing but smiles and sun.

The scariest ride for the girls on both days was this rocking Ferris wheel. Now we know next time to get the stationary one.

One of the rides in the new Cars Land.

Donald Duck

They have a REAL Starbucks in California Adventure.

The girls with Mater.

We can't wait until we can go again.

Visit with the Weavers

We spent 3 nights at the Weaver house. When we arrived, the girls has their own princess room. They LOVED the decorations and all of the princess goodies.

I think Jason's favorite part was the sun. When we were there it wasn't hot, but sun and no rain instantly provide smiles for this family.

Oh, and they have a pool. It was way too cold for the adults, but the girls. LOVED the pool as well.

For New Years dinner we made pizza. Yummy!

We celebrated "New York New Years" with lots of horn blowing and streamers.

Nothing but smiles with these parents to be.

Then we were all out by 10:00. Apples to apples can wear a group out.

To finish off the visit with the Weavers we played a little putt putt golf.

This will be our last family visit to the Weavers in Upland (Sean is applying for his residency now). We can't wait to see where you will end up next and you can count on a visit from the Castro fam. Thanks for everything.
