Christmas in Yakima

We spent Christmas in Yakima with the Newlyweds. The girls definitely LOVED the snow and playing with Zoey.

We took the girls ice skating. They really loved it. Bailey now wants to be a professional ice skater. Maddie only lasted until she fell down 4 times and was wet. We had to make Bailey leave the ice after all of us were FREEZING.

On Christmas Eve we headed to the park to enjoy the snow.

We didn't forget to leave cookies for Santa.

Aunt Julie made the girls these really really cool pillows. They loved them.

Papa Pat sang his own version of the "12 Days of Christmas" to RaeLyn. It was very sweet and fun to watch.

Another very fun Christmas with the Castro's. We hope next time Julie and Tyler will feel better when we invade their house.

Polar Express

We have done so much in the last two weeks, I don't want to forget anything. To start Christmas vacation we took the girls on Polar Express.

Jason's parents came with us and it was so much fun. We went at 4:30, so it was light when we started.

Here is Maddie with her golden ticket. They come around and punch it for each child.

We were all wearing our pajamas. They read the story and provide hot cocoa and a cookie on the way to the North Pole. Then Santa gets on the train and visits with each child on the way back.

If you can't tell from the picture, Santa crushed Bailey's dreams of receiving a dog for Christmas. She was actually crying before we got off the train. However, both girls got a bell and overall fun was had by all.
I am so happy that we got to do this while they both truly believe.

Jacob is 5

We went to Jacob's 5th birthday party this past weekend. I can't believe he is already 5.

Here is a pic of them waiting for the ball to reach the pins. It was hilarious watching all these kids bowl.

After the parade we hung out and waited for the parade to start.

The parade in Salem is much cooler than the one in Longview.

The sad part is after the weekend we came home and the girls got the stomach bug.

Bailey is 7

To start off, I can't believe that I have a 7 year old. Bailey is SO grown up. She amazes me every day with her thoughtfulness.

For her birthday she wanted to get a pedicure. What mom can say no to that request?

The girls also got their nails painted.

On her actual birthday morning she got her Stuffy's cinnamon roll. It looks as big as her.

Isn't she gorgeous. She makes me so proud.

For dinner she wanted a Papa Pete's pizza as big as possible.

Her final gift from Jason and I was a wii game, just dance kids. You can see that she is enjoying it! Love you Bailey girl.

Church Performance

This is the first year that Bailey got to be in the Christmas program with the older kids. She had a speaking part and she did amazing. She had to practice after church for almost 2 months.

The younger kids join the program for the final 2 songs.

YouTube Video

Aren't they cute!

Then in the afternoon they performed at Canterbury, which was another amazing experience for Bailey.

Bailey Birthday Party

Once again Bailey wanted to have her party at the pool. She is quite the swimmer. This year we went with a flip flop theme. Here are a few of the things I tried to make.

My attempt a a cake. Definitely not my best ever, but you get the point.

She really enjoyed herself and felt very special. As we were leaving she said she wants her party there next year. We will see what theme we come up with next year.

Tree and Santa

On Monday we went to pick out our Christmas tree our tree farm has a Santa so we did our yearly stop. Bailey decided that she wants a dog that doesn't shed.

When it was Maddie's turn she said she also wants a dog. Even though she told is three different things on the way up.

Here is both of my angels with Santa.

We have real reindeer in Longview if you ever want to visit.

This one was our winner.
