CWS

We made it to Omaha and quickly jumped back in the car to go check out the new stadium, the TD Ameritrade park.
We had to get the family pic in front of the famous statue, that was moved to the new stadium.
This is my cousin Steve and his family.  They were amazing hosts and my girls absolutely LOVED hanging out with the Dunn girls.  I will make a post just about the fun they had.
Having a little fun recreating the famous pose.
Jason went to both of the championship games, this is actually Jason's 4th time to the CWS.  I joined he and Tyler for the final game of the series.  It was an AMAZING game.
The fans had a little too much fun during the game.  They kept throwing beach balls on the field, then all together at one time they threw 100s of them, including balloons on the field.  Then a little while later 7 people ran on the field at the same time.  It added a little humor to the game for the spectators. I am not sure the players enjoyed it.

Arizona won, this is the first time we have actually seen the dog pile.  Of all the world series visits, we have never seen the final game.  It was really fun and I wanted Arizona to win, to represent the PAC 12.
Here is Arizona after they received their awards.

Road Trip 2012

We just returned from our road trip to Omaha!  The girls were amazing in the car and we had tons of fun.  We stopped at lots of parks along the way.

We stopped at the very first Cabela's ever, it is in Nebraska, and checked out the animals inside and out.
Stopped at a few of these state signs, we went to a total of 9 states in 11 days.

Here is Bailey coloring and enjoying the drive.
This is what Maddie looked like whenever she napped, it was hilarious.
The girls favorite part of the driving trip was a new pool almost every day.
We stopped at a few rest areas and hit some baseballs.
Overall it was a success in the car with these girls.
More posts to come with all of our many adventures.

May

Well to start off with, during the month of May, I lost my phone, therefore the lack of posting.  Man I feel like everything was easier when I had my phone. I am secretly hoping it will just show up tomorrow, but I don't think that is going to happen. A LOT has happened this month, A LOT!
To start off with Jason finished his high school coaching season.  It was a very bittersweet month baseball wise. This is his last high school season at R A Long.  He is going to assist at LCC next year.  We are all excited for the change.  Here is a picture of the girls at Jason's last league game.

We also said our farewells to the Lumberyard.  The girls are VERY sad to say goodbye, especially Bailey, it has been the field she has watched games at for as long as she can remember.  She keeps asking Dad if she can go to his field and hit balls.  I think she is as sad about leaving the Lumberyard at Jason is.  We have  had many many amazing memories with the Lumberjacks, I can't wait to see what new memories we can make.
On a positive note for his high school season, Jason was voted coach of the year for his league!  Congrats coach, you are amazing! I can't wait to see what you can do at the college level.
For Mother's Day we spent a gorgeous day at the beach.  It was windy, but just what we all needed.
Bailey wrote, "I Love Mom" in the sand. Yes they are in their swimming suits.  Jason and the girls went in the water, yes they are crazy.  That is why I love them.
Maddie finished preschool, and had a little celebration night.   This is our last year at Sonshine preschool.  Maddie will be going to a new preschool next year.  We LOVE LOVE LOVE teacher Tammy. It makes me cry a little every time I think about not seeing Tammy.  She had loved my girls for the last 4 years.  She is a huge part of them and she will be greatly missed.

Bailey had her hip hop performance this week.  She had fun and danced her little heart out.  Mom was a little worn out after 2 school nights of 3 hour rehearsals.  However, Bailey was still smiling and that is all that matters. I will try to get videos up of both Bailey dancing and Maddie singing in her preschool celebration. Super fun that Nana and Papa made it up for her show!

Last but not least we have one more weekend left of soccer.  This season was much more enjoyable for me.  I literally watched 4 practices from my car while it was pouring down rain.  Bailey still wants to do it again in the fall.  So I would say it was another successful season.  She played 2 games today and scored a goal in each of them.  Here are the girls watching while their friends are playing.

Here is the team at halftime! Love these kiddos!

Maddie's Rainbow Party

Maddie celebrated her birthday on Saturday.  We lucked out with AMAZING weather.  Both sets of Granparents and the Sandersons came early.  They got to see Bailey play soccer in the morning.
Maddie picked a rainbow party.  It was super fun to have a rainbow theme, we could have kept up with more and more rainbow stuff, I had fun planning this one.
It was our first party with a pinata. Normally they stress me out, I feel like someone is going to get hurt.  It went off with out a hitch.  We acutally had an indestructable pinata, we went two times through and then I just dumped out the candy.
Maddie and her best bud Addy.
Love the smile and excitement this girl had on her special day.  I still can't believe she is 4!
 The whole gang!

Long Beach

We went to Long Beach for one night during spring break. Quick stop at Seaside to the carrousel and the outlet mall.

After a quick swim we had a yummy barbecue, thanks to Jason.

After swimming until we had to check out the next day we rented this fun bike and rode around town. My legs got very tired really quickly.

We stopped for some ice cream to give our legs a break.

This is the beautiful place we stayed at, thanks Nana and Papa.
