Summer Fun

We have thoroughly enjoyed our summer relaxing. The girls have made new friends with our neighbors. They have 3 girls...ages 4, 2, and 9 months. The mom is from Finland, and the little girls look like they could be sisters with my girls. We play nonstop through the fence, passing notes, crafts, necklaces, and we even made a string telephone. We have gone to each others houses and a couple trips to the park. I don't think we could have asked for better people to move in.

That is Helen peaking over the fence.

One night we had a camping trip in the back yard.

We took a random day trip up the gorge to Hood River, it was a beautiful day.

While visiting Jason's parents we went to Forest Park in Everett and went to the petting zoo.

We also had a yummy barbecue at Addy's house. We got to visit with Clara and Owen (Andrea too). Thanks so much for the yummy dinner Matt and Teresa.

I hope this summer never ends. I am loving it.

4th of July week

We had a VERY fun 4th of July down in Myrtle with the family. We spent our time between Myrtle Point, Bandon, and the Redwoods. The entire family was there on the 4th. The girls had a blast with their cousins. Bailey LOVED the beach and is also a very good swimmer now. Maddie is our brave one who went down the slide head first. We took a day trip to the Redwoods and had a great time. We truly enjoyed relaxing and it was hard to come home. Bailey didn't want to leave and says she wants to live with Nana. On the way home we found out Jason got the 2A baseball coach of the year for Washington state. Overall an amazing week! Thanks for everything Mom and Dad.

Maddie watched the fireworks inside with Nana.

Bailey and Dad nearly spent 3 days straight on the beach building a fort.

Last Weekend

I had a wonderful weekend. It finally felt like summer, meaning we actually got sun here. Jason and I took the girls to the beach on Saturday. The girls spent hours digging in the sand, then we (guess I should say they) went in the water. We all had soooo much fun, I can't wait to have more days at the beach this summer.

Did you notice the Wildcat shirt?? Go Linfield!!

Yes they were wearing swimsuits in the ocean in Washington!

Then on Sunday I got to go visit my Nielson/Weaver side of the family (I just include myself in this amazing family...there is no real relation). I got to celebrate Bethany's upcoming wedding and visit with some of the most amazing women. You ladies never cease to amaze me. Thanks so much for always making me feel welcome. I can't wait to see you all again in September.

It was interesting telling people that Bec and I met 13 years ago. It feels like I have known her forever. Love you!

Roberta, Pam, Bethany (Beffy), Ashley (all grown up), Netty, and Rebecca (Becky-Roo)

WOW! Such amazing women!

Stickers

If you haven't been around my girls lately, then you don't know how much they LOVE stickers. They have been told many times, "Only on paper". As Jason and I just LOVE stickers all over the house on tables, walls, doorknobs, you get the idea. However, Bailey has a sticker book and is very organized in her stickering.......I think Maddie is the trouble maker. I found this sticker placement and thought it was perfect to post. Bethany, who is like a little sister to me is getting married in September. I am going to her shower tomorrow, I am sooo excited and I believe that one of my little sneaky girls is right....Bethany is a "Great Catch"!

Nana Time

This week we are special enough to spend time with Nana Judy. Jason is in Omaha, watching the College World Series. I am still in school, so I recruited help....Nana to the rescue. The girls have had a blast the last few days. We started off by celebrating Nana's birthday that we missed. The girls continued the next few days with trips to the park, Chuck E Cheese, crafts at Michael's, and a movie night. We are loving every minute of it. This morning Bailey said, "Can Nana watch us everyday when you go to work?" I wish Nana lived closer, but we will take advantage of every minute we can get.The girls can hardly wait to swim in her pool this weekend!!

Crazy Kids

I just had to share this interesting little story. A dear friend of mine called me the other day. I hadn't talked to her in a while, she starts off the phone conversation with something like this, "I am calling because I need some parenting advice.......my daughter keeps throwing fits." The conversation continues, within 2 minutes of being on the phone (this always happens to me) the girls start to fight over something. This time it is a puzzle, it escalates and they are both screaming. Maddie wants the puzzle Bailey has....Maddie rips it out of Bailey's hands. All the while I am still on the phone talking about giving my girls timeouts, mind you with two girls screaming in the background. Then Maddie runs away, trips and hits her head on a toy. I was thinking...."Are you sure you want parenting advice from me". However, I think it worked out in the end for both of us to know that kids throw fits and there is just nothing we can do about it sometimes.
Here are a few pics of my girls just being themselves. This is a pic of the girls one afternoon....it got really quiet in the house, when I went looking for them they were just playing in the car. It is now one of their favorite places to play.

I snapped the next picture to show you Bailey's latest fashion. I think she has only 4 different patterns on. It is also raining and I MADE her put a coat one. That girl would wear shorts and a tank top every day if I would let her. Hopefully summer weather will actually get here soon.

Final Four

I know, I know, all I post about is baseball. However, the Lumberjacks did it. This is the most successful team in R A Long history. They ended up second in state. They beat the second ranked team Selah, and then in the championship game were defeated by WF West. It was a really fun weekend and season to be around. I know I am biased, but I think my husband works VERY hard and they deserve it. He loves those boys and I know that they look up to him. He is my favorite coach and all I have to say is....
Go Jacks! Give 'em the Axe!
